The Langley Rivermen are excited to announce the hiring of Gideon Hill as the team’s new play-by-play broadcaster.
Before joining the Rivermen, Hill spent the last four seasons as the play-by-play broadcaster for the Langley Trappers of the Pacific Junior Hockey League where he was named the 2020 PJHL Broadcaster of the Year.
His voice may sound familiar to some Rivermen fans as Hill was called up last season to do play-by-play for an exhibition game that saw the Rivermen take on the Coquitlam Express.
No stranger to being around the George Preston Recreation Centre, Hill is excited about his new role. “I am honored to be given this opportunity by the Rivermen organization. I enjoyed watching their games as a fan at the GP, but to now be bringing the action to the great Rivermen fan base is a dream come true.” He continued by saying “I look forward to the fall and working closely with everyone involved within the organization and the BCHL”
Welcome to the Riv, Gideon!
