The Langley Rivermen have acquired defenseman Josh Wessels (03) from the Powell River Kings in exchange for future considerations.
Wessels, who is from Richmond, BC joins the Rivermen after spending the shortened “Pod Season” with the Powell River Kings. The 5’11” 176-pound blueliner picked up five assists in 18 games last season.
“I’m really excited to play for the Rivermen and play a full season of junior hockey. Fans can expect a two-way defenseman that loves to jump up in the play and create offense, as well as play a sound and solid defensive game that competes extremely hard in all areas.” Wessels said when asked about what fans can expect from him this season.
Josh will join the team in September when training camp opens up.
