The Langley Rivermen are excited to announce that 2004-born forward Nick Messina has committed to the team for the 2022-23 season.
Messina, who is the younger brother of Rivermen defenceman Joseph Messina is currently the co-captain of Holderness school where he has nine points in eight games and he also plays for the Northern Cyclones 18U AAA Prep team where he has 11 goals and six assists in 18 games.
It’s not everyday you get to play on the same team as your brother and Messina is excited for that moment.
“Having the opportunity to play for the Rivermen is very exciting. I have heard nothing but good things about the organization, and it is a team that a lot people would love to be apart of. Having the chance to play at this level and even play with my brother is something I’m definitely looking forward to.” Said Messina.
“I am ready to come in and learn from the older guys on the team. Whatever role the team and the coaching staff has for me I will be ready to fill it to the best of my ability.” Messina added.
Welcome to Langley, Nick!
